Sharing the joy of music one note at a time 

Owner, Anna Robitaille, is a native of the Mission Hills/Bankers Hills neighborhood. She has played the piano since 1986, and has been teaching privately since 1997. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Music from SDSU, and was the accompanist for the school choirs at Morse High School. Anna was also a music teacher at Bonita Country Day School , Carmel Valley Montessori School, and St. Vincent's Preschool. Anna is an active member of the Music Teachers' Association of California, and was the chair for the Popular Music Festival at Grossmont College for 3 years. She opened Mission Hills Music in 2009.


               Scott Johnson  has been teaching violin since 2012. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance from SDSU and is passionate about teaching the art of music. Scott performs regularly as a soloist, chamber, and symphonic musician, and performs with opera. He can also play pop and rock in different styles and genres.


              Kevin Erskine  has been teaching guitar, bass, ukulele, piano, trumpet, flute, and clarinet since 2011. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Berklee College of Music while majoring in songwriting. Kevin currently teaches band at Bernardo Heights Middle School and is pursuing a second Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy.


             Johanna Baker  has been teaching private piano and voice lessons for nearly 20 years. She enjoys classical music and musical theater. Johanna earned her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin and Master's Degree in Psychology from SDSU.  She has done research on the effect of music lessons on the brain and cognitive development.


            Ania Sundstrom  has been teaching piano, voice, and music theory since 2008. She received her Doctorate Degree in Music Composition from the University of Washington . Currently, Ania teaches piano and voice at Mission Hills Music and she also works as the Music Director of the Santee United Methodist Church.


            Renaudo Robinson  has been teaching violin since 2009 both privately and with group classes. He received his Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance and French & Francophone Studies from the University of Michigan. He also has a Master's degree and Performance Certificate in Violin Performance from DePaul University. He performs regularly as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician, and has performed as a studio musician with various recording artists.


           Salli Martin has been teaching voice and piano for over 12 years. In 2006, she graduated with honors in music rom SDSU and performs regularly around the county.

          Maria Borges has been a voice teacher since 2012 and received her Bachelor's Degree in Music from the Universidad Centrooccidental Lisandro Alvarado in Venezuela. Maria also specializes in music theater.
         David Rich teaches guitar, bass, and ukulele and has experience with composing and music therapy. He received his Associate's Degree from SD Mesa College and studied music theory, ear training, and jazz studies. David teaches all genres and levels of music.
         Nick Sullivan has been playing guitar for over 11 years and has been teaches for the past 6 years. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Studies from SDSU. Nick is able to teach all levels on acoustic and electric guitar, and is experienced with teaching blues, pop, rock, funk, and Latin guitar.
