Sharing the joy of music one note at a time 

Owner, Anna Robitaille, is a native of the Mission Hills/Bankers Hills neighborhood. She has played the piano since 1986, and has been teaching privately since 1997. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Music from SDSU, and was the accompanist for the school choirs at Morse High School. Anna was also a music teacher at Bonita Country Day School , Carmel Valley Montessori School, and St. Vincent's Preschool. Anna is an active member of the Music Teachers' Association of California, and was the chair for the Popular Music Festival at Grossmont College for 3 years. She opened Mission Hills Music in 2009.

               Scott Johnson  has been teaching violin since 2012. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance from SDSU and is passionate about teaching the art of music. Scott performs regularly as a soloist, chamber, and symphonic musician, and performs with opera. He can also play pop and rock in different styles and genres.

              Devon Gerber  has been teaching guitar, bass, piano, and ukulele privately and at a local studio since 2011. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Music from SDSU and worked as a studio guitarist in L.A. Devon is trained in jazz and classical music, but also has experience  teaching pop, rock, and metal. He spends the rest of his time writing and recording licensing songs to be used in TV shows, ads, and movies.

              Johanna Baker  has been teaching private piano and voice lessons for nearly 20 years. She enjoys classical music and musical theater. Johanna earned her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin and Master's Degree in Psychology from SDSU.  She has done research on the effect of music lessons on the brain and cognitive development.

            Claire Carpenter  has been teaching elementary school and piano lessons over 15 years. She earned her B.A. in English and her Teaching Credential from USD. Her students have performed in churches, libraries, and senior homes in Carmel Valley and Del Mar.

            Ania Sundstrom  has been teaching piano, voice, and music theory since 2008. She received her Doctorate Degree in Music Composition from the University of Washington . Currently, Ania teaches piano and voice at Mission Hills Music and she also works as the Music Director of the Santee United Methodist Church.

            Grace Huscher  has taken voice lessons for 16 years and participated in choir and solo competitions. She is a graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University where she majored in music education with an emphasis on voice. She has taught private voice for 3 years along with general music and choir at 2 schools in California. She currently teaches music at St. Vincent's School and is a voice teacher at Mission Hills Music.

            Renaudo Robinson  has been teaching violin since 2009 both privately and with group classes. He received his Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance and French & Francophone Studies from the University of Michigan. He also has a Master's degree and Performance Certificate in Violin Performance from DePaul University. He performs regularly as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician, and has performed as a studio musician with various recording artists.
            Daria Binkowski  has been teaching flute and piano for over 10 years. She holds a degree in Music Performance from the Eastman School of Music and McGill University, and did her doctoral studies in music at the University of Washington. Daria can be found performing on flute and toy piano in San Diego and around the country.
